Mental health is a very real issue that needs a great deal of attention. It is a very large umbrella with many different diagnosis. By being educated on the signs and symptoms of depression, particularly in children, we can have a greater chance of seeking professional help fast and giving our children the childhood they deserve; one without sometimes paralyzing depression, sadness and anxiety. When properly educated, children can, themselves, see the changes happening within them and ask for help. They deserve to be happy and live a life free from this illness. When we are properly educated on the different signs, symptoms, causes and types of depression, we can start to erase the stigma of mental illness.
